Markit Instant Messenger - A new instant messaging service which directly replaces existing Connex installations and is targeted at smaller organisations that do not have an existing in-house enterprise IM solution. This service is based on the open XMPP standard and also benefits from federation to the new Messaging Hub, allowing users to connect to other users in the federated network. Messaging Hub – A new service which will act as a federated messaging hub allowing organisations to connect their existing enterprise messaging services such as Microsoft OCS/Lync/Communicator, IBM SameTime, Cisco Jabber XCP, or Cisco WebEx Connect, to our federation server. This will enable organisations to use their own internal IM tool to communicate externally with other organisations in the federated network, regardless of the platform used by those parties. This service will provide all standard IM features regardless of UC platform, including Presence, IM, multi-user chat, and custom presence status messages, together with security policy functionality that provides control over which types of traffic (IM, presence, file transfer, etc) are allowed.
